文章从公共图书馆在城市文明建设中的优势条件,存在的问题,措施与对策,三个方面论证公共图书馆在城市文明建设中的重要作用。21世纪是城市发展和城市竞争的时代,以城市文明为主要标志的新一轮竞争已成为区域经济发展的主旋律。城市发展和竞争,实质是人的素质的提高和竞争。没有高质量、高素质的城市人口就不可能建设真正的现代文明城市。市民整体素质的提高,有赖于文化事业的发展。提高市民整体素质,便提升城市的文明程度进而推动城市经济的进一步发展。可见,公共图书馆在城市文明建设中处于举足轻重地位。
The article demonstrates the important role of public libraries in the construction of urban civilization from three aspects: advantages, conditions, existing problems, measures and countermeasures of public libraries in the construction of urban civilization. The 21st century is an era of urban development and urban competition.
