2004年的5月17日是第36个世界电信日,日前国际电联(ITU)确定了今年世界电信日的主题为“信息通信技术:引领可持续发展之路”(ICTs:Leading the way to sustainable development)。对可持续发展的关注将有助于人们更深入地思考信息通信技术应承担的社会责任。破除垄断,鼓励竞争是发达国家电信业发展过程中所采取的重要措施。 2004年5月16日,本刊与北大光华管理学院联手推出“中国与WTO论坛”之八:从垄断到竞争——加入WTO中国电信业可持续发展之路。
May 17, 2004 is the 36th World Telecommunication Day. ITU recently established the theme of this year’s World Telecommunication Day as “Leading the way to” (ICTs: Leading the way to sustainable development. Concerns for sustainable development will help to think more deeply about the social responsibilities that ICTs should assume. To break the monopoly and encourage competition is an important measure taken by the developed countries in the development of the telecommunications industry. On May 16, 2004, the journal and BeiDa Guanghua School of Management jointly launched “China and the WTO Forum” 8: From Monopoly to Competition - The Road to Sustainable Development of China’s Telecommunication Industry after China’s Accession to the WTO.
