The focus of the enterprise risk management approach is to combine risk management with strategy development. Companies often struggle with such a basic question: Should the business strategy be developed prior to the risk assessment? Or should the risk assessment be conducted prior to the development of the business strategy? The problem itself has demonstrated the need to effectively integrate risk management and strategy formulation.
