地理译报自1955年创刊以来已经三年了。过去三年内一共出了12期,从读者反映来看,这一刊物对于我国地理学工作者以及有关生产部门的工作者帮助还是很大的。但是我们检查过去工作,觉得其中还有许多缺点。首先,过去编委会的力量比较薄弱,所以在选稿、组稿、审校几方面工作都作的不够好,译文内容以及翻译的质量还不能达到读者的要求。另外,我们觉得地理学牵涉的范围很广,每一地理工作者或有关的各生产部门的工作者很难对地理学的各个部门同样感觉兴趣,因此,过去综合性的编辑方针可能不符合读者的需要.针对以上缺点。从今年起我们加强了编辑力量,并决定分别以1)经
