1978年12月,在党的十一届三中全会上,我被选为重建的中共中央纪律检查委员会委员。当报纸公布名单时,我是毫不知情的。不仅我不知情,连新派到我院工作的北京第二外国语学院党委书记孙萍同志,也毫不知情。他把我叫到办公室问我,我说“不知道。”他才亲自打电话问中共北京市委。市委领导告诉他,报纸上发表的汪文风,就是你们二外院的汪文风。即使这样,有的同志问到我和我的家人,我们也不敢认准,甚至不敢点头。因为问题太严重了,如果同名同姓,如果有了其他差错,历史经验可鉴,不仅会闹出天大笑话,而且还可能发生预想不到的事端。我们手头除了一张报纸,是什么文字的东西也没有的。直到中央纪委的开会通知发到我的手里,看到通知上的大印,我们才敢认真。
