1946年4月初.罗炳辉副军长因患病从津浦前线返回新四军军部所在地山东临沂.边休养边工作。罗副军长历来重视通信建设.关心通信队伍。他任二师师长时就偏爱到电台巡视.嘘寒问暖.政治上、生活上关怀备至,他与无线电报务员情同手足的故事广为传颂。
In early April 1946, Luo Binghui, the deputy commander, returned from the front line of Jinpu to Linyi, Shandong, where the New Fourth Army was located because of illness. Vice commander Luo has always attached importance to communications construction. As a teacher of the second division, he preferred to tour the radio station. He was warmly welcomed politically and in his daily life, he was widely acclaimed as a radio reporter.
