Objective To investigate the clinical significance of detecting Hcy and CRP in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy. Methods Thirty-two patients with DN were selected. Thirty healthy subjects were selected as the normal control group. The levels of Hcy and CRP were measured by immunoturbidimetry. The patients with DN were divided by Hcy = 15μmol / L Thirteen patients (≤15 μmol / L) and 19 patients (≥15 μmol / L) (Group II). CRP levels were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of Hcy and CRP in DN group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.01). The CRP level in DN group was significantly higher than that in II group (P <0.01). Conclusion The detection of serum Hcy and CRP levels in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy has important clinical significance for early diagnosis of DN and judgment of disease progression and prognosis.
