1994年2月,东南大学与荷兰飞利浦公司正式签署了为期15年的科研合作合同,并成立了“东飞显示管技术研究开发中心”(简称“东飞中心”)。合同规定,双方共同管理东飞中心。飞利浦公司每年投资22.26万美元的科研资助并提供8.5万美元的设备费,东南大学提供人才资源、厂房和水电供给。东飞中心的研究目标就是以CRT市场为中心的相关技术研究与开发。研究课题由双方商定,研究成果双方共享。东飞中心是飞利浦公司在我国大陆高校中唯一的合作研究机构,旨在建成亚太地区显示管技术研究与开发领域最先进的研究机构与人才培养的基地。中、荷双方都非常重视东飞中心的发展和运行。荷兰飞利浦总裁VanTimmer先生两次访问东飞中心并为东飞中心成立揭牌。国家有关部委领导也多次考察和
February 1994, Southeast University and the Netherlands Philips officially signed a 15-year cooperation contract of scientific research, and set up a “Dongfei display tube technology research and development center” (referred to as “Dongfang Center”). The contract stipulates that the two sides jointly manage the Dongfang Center. Philips invests 222,600 U.S. dollars in research funding and provides 85,000 U.S. dollars in equipment fees each year. Southeast University provides human resources, plant and water supply. Dongfang Center’s research goal is to CRT market as the center of the related technology research and development. Research topics agreed by both parties, research results shared by both parties. Dongfang Center is the only cooperation research institute of Philips in universities and colleges in mainland China. It aims to build the most advanced research institute and personnel training base in the field of tube technology research and development in the Asia Pacific region. Both China and Netherlands attach great importance to the development and operation of Dongfang Center. VanTimmer, President of Philips, visited Philips Center twice and set up the DFI Center. The leaders of relevant state ministries and commissions have also visited and studied many times
