After one year of operation,Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group Co.,Ltd’s(TISCO) project of making sulfuric acid by desulfurization of coke-ovengas has proved to be capable of reducing 12 238 tons of sulfur dioxideemissions and producing 18 800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid (98%) aswell as 43 860 tons of steam (5.2 MPa) every year.
