震级是地震的一个重要震源参数。它无论对于社会还是地震学界本身,都是一个非常敏感的问题。在当前的研究中,除了试图建立更加合理、精确、适用的新标度外,主要集中在巳有标度及其精度两方面的问题。前者是震级水平的相对标准,其重要环节之一是零点控制问题。后者是震级的均匀化程度,由起算函数决定。我国在震级研究中已取得了许多进展。但就目前的情况而论,在实用化方面似乎还有在标度、符号与名称的不统一现象,也存在与国际上不很一致的情形。因而有必要对一些问题加以澄清,甚至应该做出一些统一的规定,以避免某些方面的混乱现象。
Magnitude is an important source parameter of earthquakes. It is a very sensitive issue for both the society and the seismological community itself. In the current study, except for trying to establish a new scale that is more reasonable, precise and applicable, it mainly focuses on the issues of scale and precision. The former is the relative standard magnitude level, one of the important part is the zero point control problem. The latter is the magnitude of the degree of homogeneity, determined by the starting function. Much progress has been made in the study of magnitude in our country. However, as far as the current situation is concerned, there seems to be no uniform phenomenon of scale, symbols and names in terms of practical application, and there is a situation that is not very consistent with the international community. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify some issues and even make some uniform provisions to avoid certain aspects of chaos.
