In the first quarter of this year, automobile production and sales increased by 5.3% and 3.9% respectively over the same period of last year, with the growth rate falling 3.9% and 5.3% respectively over the same period of the previous year. In March of last year, China’s automobile production was 2.2836 million vehicles, up by 39.94% from the previous month and up by 3.72%; sales 22.4600 million, an increase of 40.62%, an increase of 3.29%. Compared with the same period of last year, sales growth rate dropped.
