At the end of 2009, Professor Yang Zhi attended the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen in his capacity as an expert representative of the UNU delegation. As a senior expert in the field of climate change and low-carbon economy, after experiencing the Copenhagen conference, she felt more strongly that with the development of a low-carbon economy, China has both opportunities and challenges. She urged: To achieve sustainable development, China’s economy must go its own path of developing low-carbon economy and can not follow the example of a new energy model in the United States that does not conform to China’s national conditions. To achieve its goal of emission reduction, China must adopt a policy of leading the way and participating with the whole people to let the concept permeate To culture and fashion. As the largest carbon producer and emitter in the world, China must draw lessons from the loss of pricing power in the international oil market, take advantage of the current opportunities in the global carbon market, join in and no longer miss opportunities
