2009年5月7日,北京歌德拍卖有限公司与通银典当行在北京公开签署了一份有关艺术品典当业务的合作协议,在业内引起了广泛关注。其实,在国内,艺术品市场拍卖与典当联合的实例也曾在沿海某些城市出现。早在2005年,上海家鑫典当行成立不久便对公众开放了艺术品典当业务,而家鑫典当董事长宣家鑫同时也任上海中天拍卖的董事长;2008年3月,杭州“瑞信典当”也开设了艺术品典当业务,据介绍,他们是与浙江南北拍卖公司合作,由拍卖公司提供专业的鉴定评估支持。
