色香并绝的梅花,名列中国传统十大名花之首,其花形美丽而不妖冶,其花味清韵且又芳香,自古就深受人们的喜爱,早在《诗经》、《礼记》、《山海经》等古籍中就有关于梅花的记载,迄今已有二千多年的历史了。梅花最早是把果实作为醋的代用调味品而进入人们的生活的。《书经》中载:“若作和羹,尔唯盐梅。”观赏梅花的兴起,大约是在汉代,《西京杂记》中有“汉初修上林苑,远方各献异树,有朱梅、胭脂梅。”以后历代均有赏梅、咏梅的记载,名篇佳句不胜枚举。
