南京市六合区城西小学创办于1965年。现有学生800人,教师50人。学校占地4500平方米,校园环境优美,功能室齐全。学校坚持“学会学习,学会生活,学会快乐”的德育理念,开展了丰富的德育实践活动,取得了骄人的成绩:1996年校大队部被评为全国红旗大队,1997年被南京市首批授予模范学校的光荣称号,1998年被南京市教育委员会、南京市环保局授予“绿色学校”荣誉称号,2001年学校女子足球队获南京市第十七届运动会足球比赛儿童组女子第一名。目前学校正在争创省市实验小学。
