By the Metallurgical Administration of Geology presided over the “National Geological Survey of geological work plan,” May 13-17 held in Kunming Institute of Geology. More than 90 delegates from some subordinate scientific research, design institutes and industrial companies were invited to attend the conference, in addition to the chief responsible comrades and experts from the Exploration Bureau and the Geological Survey Institute under the Ministry of Metallurgical Affairs. The meeting carefully analyzed the basic situation of manganese resources in our country, summarized the main experience of geological work of manganese ore during the “Seventh Five-Year Plan” and exchanged new understandings on exploration and prospecting of manganese ore, and discussed
