温州地区是浙江省甘薯种植面积最大,总产量最多的地区,最高年份种植面积达100余万亩,常年亦有70万亩左右,约占全区粮地总面积的四分之一,占全省甘薯面积的三分之一,是我区仅次于水稻的第二大粮食作物,又是重要工业原料和发展畜牧业的重要饲料。因此,搞好甘薯生产,对薯区的四化建设和改善人民生活关系很大。但是,长期以来甘薯产量徘徊在600—700斤之间,大大低于水田的产粮水平,粉碎
Wenzhou area is the largest sweet potato planting area in Zhejiang Province with the highest total output.
