珍贵树种是国家的宝贵自然资源,也是自然环境的重要组成部分。我国人工林资源稳步增加的同时,可采成过熟林资源却在持续下降,尤其是珍贵树种资源急剧减少。不少地区乱砍滥伐、乱采滥挖珍贵树种的事件时有发生,一些珍贵的用材林木、经济林木和药用树种已濒于枯竭。不久前,林业部发出通知,要求各地加强珍贵树种的保护。为便于保护管理,将我国珍贵树种分为两级,
Precious species are the country’s precious natural resources, but also an important part of the natural environment. While China’s plantation resources have steadily increased, the resources available for over-mature forests have been declining continuously, especially the sharp decline in the resources of precious tree species. In many areas, deforestation and indiscriminate excavation of valuable tree species have taken place. Some valuable timber, economic trees and medicinal tree species are on the verge of depletion.
