传统的稻鸭共作技术,鸭苗需经保温育雏并提前驯水后才能放入稻田,鸭苗为7~14日龄,这便要求种稻农户掌握良好的鸭苗育雏和驯水技术,这项技术水平的高低直接影响了稻鸭共作的成败。这对于长期农牧分离、缺乏养鸭经验的农户来说,是一件吃力而麻烦的事。镇江市稻鸭共作课题组主要研究人员沈晓昆、戴网成和谢桐洲借鉴日本冈山大学岸田芳朗博士的研究经验,进行了零日龄放鸭的试验研究并获得了成功。2007年6月15日,零日龄放鸭首次在江苏镇江丹阳延陵430亩稻鸭共作田实施,本刊记者闻讯后亲临现场,实地目击了零日龄放鸭新技术的实施情况,并就零日龄放鸭这项新技术的技术要点、优势及发展前景等采访了沈晓昆等人。
