2002年5月20—21日,中国科学院文献情报中心与国家科技图书文献中心联合主办了“知识管理:图书馆的机遇与挑战”学术研讨会。作为中国科学院文献情报中心新馆开馆活动月内容之一,本届会议分别在中心新馆报告厅和奥林匹克饭店举行。中科院院出版图书情报委员会副主任解源同志出席开幕式并讲话。中国科学院文献情报中心主任徐引篪研究馆员和美国俄亥俄大学荣誉馆长李华伟博士共同担任研讨会组委会主任,教育与研究发展部主任初景利教授担任秘书长。来自国内各图书馆、情报(所)室、信息管理院系的50多名代表参加了会议,中科院图书情报系统的职工100多人旁听了专家的报告。研讨会是海内外图书馆知识管理专家学者的一次盛会。共有16位海内外专家应邀作大会报告。本届会议共收到论文47篇。研讨会以大会报告、分组讨论和会下交流等形式,就图书馆应用知识管理许多方面的问题进行了广泛的研讨。知识管理的概念源于企业,但对图书情报机构
From May 20-21, 2002, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Science and Technology Library and Information Center co-sponsored the “Knowledge Management: Opportunities and Challenges of Libraries” seminar. As one of the monthly contents of the opening ceremony of the new library of Chinese Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences, this session was held in the Lecture Hall of the New Museum and the Olympic Hotel respectively. Chinese Academy of Sciences Publishing Library and Information Commission deputy director Comrade Xie Yuan attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Xu Yingchi, LIS Director, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Li Hua Wei, Honorary Curator of the University of Ohio, jointly held the position of Director of the Organizing Committee of the Seminar and Professor Chu Kingli, Director of the Education and Research Development Department, as the Secretary General. More than 50 representatives from domestic libraries, information centers and information management departments attended the conference. More than 100 employees of the Library and Information System of the Chinese Academy of Sciences listened to the experts’ reports. The seminar is a grand gathering of knowledge management experts and scholars at home and abroad. A total of 16 experts at home and abroad were invited to make the report. This session received a total of 47 papers. The symposium conducted extensive discussions on many aspects of library application of knowledge management in the form of conference reports, group discussion and exchange meetings.
