Despite speculation over successors to Karim Habib, many people were surprised by the end result. On February 8 local time, BMW announced that former Skoda chief designer Jozef Kaban will replace Habib, who left in January, to take on the role of BMW’s brand design director. In the meantime, Domagoj Dukec, head of BMW’s brand appearance, is promoted to design director for the i-brand and M department.
