To explore the feasibility of using metallothionein (MT) gene expression in peripheral blood lymphocytes as a biomarker of cadmium exposure, select cadmium exposure groups for contact assessment and effect assessment, isolate lymphocytes for in vitro culture, and determine MT gene The expression level. The results showed that the level of urinary cadmium, blood cadmium and cadmium uptake in environmental exposed cadmium base and the induction of MT gene expression increased. The basal and induced expression of MT was significantly associated with serum cadmium levels and also significantly correlated with urinary cadmium. It is suggested that the expression of metallothionein in peripheral blood lymphocytes is feasible as a biomarker of cadmium exposure.
