目的 :通过体外细胞研究 ,观察维甲酸和类胡萝卜素对人乳腺癌细胞的作用。方法 :用MTT法观察维甲酸和类胡萝卜素对体外培养的 ER+乳腺癌细胞 MCF- 7和 ER-乳腺癌细胞 MDA-MB- 435 S的抑制作用。结果 :发现维甲酸和类胡萝卜素对乳腺癌细胞的增殖抑制表现出剂量、时间和结构效应以及细胞的特异性。其中 β-胡萝卜素对 ER+和 ER-乳腺癌细胞均有很强的抑制作用 ,而维甲酸和其它 4种类胡萝卜素对 ER+乳腺癌细胞的抑制作用强于 ER-细胞。结论 :β-胡萝卜素对乳腺癌细胞的抑制机制不同于维甲酸和其它 4种类胡萝卜素 ,也不需转化为维甲酸而起作用
Purpose : To investigate the effect of retinoids and carotenoids on human breast cancer cells by in vitro cell research. METHODS: The inhibitory effects of retinoic acid and carotenoids on ER+ breast cancer cells MCF-7 and ER-breast cancer cells MDA-MB-435S were observed by MTT assay. RESULTS: It was found that the inhibition of proliferation of breast cancer cells by retinoic acid and carotenoid showed dose, time and structure effects as well as cell specificity. Among them, β-carotene has a strong inhibitory effect on ER+ and ER-breast cancer cells, while retinoic acid and other 4 carotenoids have stronger inhibitory effect on ER+ breast cancer cells than ER-cells. Conclusion: The inhibitory mechanism of β-carotene on breast cancer cells is different from that of retinoic acid and other 4 carotenoids, and it does not need to be converted to retinoic acid.
