动乱过后,不少新闻界同仁都在反思,深为我们一些报刊在舆论上的一度错误与失误感到惭愧。然而,却也有的仍在寻找遁词,以自己报道的某一场面、某一事件是符合事实为据,认为自己当时应该写那样的报道,以求开脱责任。这倒使我感到费解。是的,新闻应该是现实生活的真实反映与写照。一般来说,大凡事实真实,具有新闻价值的人物、事件、活动、会议等,谁都有权利去写。问题的关键在于,我们手中那“胜过三千毛瑟枪”的笔,写什么,怎样写,都有一个政治方向和立场问题。办报时间稍久的老同志们,或许不会忘记当年那条以反映我军北平入城式为题材的美联社消息。为温故知新,不妨顺手抄写看一看:
