通过文献考证和编辑学方法,对中国近现代科技期刊起源的地域及学科特征进行了探讨。认为中国近现代科技期刊的起源具有明显的地域特征,中心城市以其各自不同的历史功能、地域特点或特殊地位,影响了科技学术期刊的数量规模、学科种类和生存发展。在以科学要成为一种建制为前提的科技期刊,其产生和发展也具有明显的学科特征,并经历了从文理综合性期刊到综合性自然科学期刊,再到分支学科期刊的产生和发展过程。
Through literature research and editing method, this paper discusses the geographical and academic features of the origins of Chinese sci-tech periodicals. It is considered that the origins of Chinese modern science and technology journals have obvious geographical characteristics. The central cities have influenced the quantity and scale, types of disciplines and survival and development of science and technology journals with their different historical functions, geographical features and special status. In science and technology to be a prerequisite for the establishment of science and technology periodicals, its production and development also has obvious characteristics of the discipline, and experienced from the liberal arts comprehensive journals to comprehensive natural science journals, and then branches of the journal of the generation and development process .
