A major flood hit the upper Mississippi River and the Missouri River in 1993, causing serious flooding. Discusses the impact of the flood on the riverbed scouring, sediment transport and river regime changes in the upper Mississippi River and the Missouri River. It also gives some general information on the dike collapse caused by the flood.
