钢结硬质合金是以合金钢、工具钢,不锈钢等作为粘结相,以碳化钛或碳化钨作为硬质相,用一般粉末冶金方法和热处理工艺所制取的一组材料。因为它的基体为钢,因此可以机加工、焊接、热处理、锻造变形。同时也含有大量的碳化物,故也保留了硬质合金的高硬度和良好耐磨性的特点。因此,用它来制造模具,比合金工具钢模具寿命大大提高,江西电机厂用这种材料制造冲裁模具,比Cr12钢同类模具寿命已提高13—15倍,降低成本7.9—9.0倍。
