This paper discusses the characteristics of blasting excavation in Lijiaxia Hydropower Station project, and applies the millisecond millisecond blasting technology of plastic detonator to practice, which has achieved good economic benefits. The technology has played a huge role in accelerating the progress of the project and can be used as a reference for high slope excavation of hydropower projects.
