当今世界对高科技人才的需求越来越高,随着经济全球化和信息时代的来临,我国与世界各国间的政治,经济,文化,技术等交流合作日益频繁。对于具备学科专业知识与技能的众多高校学生来说,无论他们毕业后继续深造,以及从事各种技术性工作,具备相当的专业英语知识和用外语在专业领域进行交流的能力都是必要的。而目前应用型大学由于受各种条件的限制,学生在本科阶段进行专业英语学习的途径和条件是有比较限的。大多毕业生只能用所学的通用基础英语进行一般的日常交际,与行业相关的专业英语知识相对薄弱。而用人单位对毕业生的英语水平,尤其在专业领域的英语应用能力期望值偏高,这种传统基础英语学习与行业需求的脱节要求学生加强学科专业英语学习。
In today’s world, the demand for high-tech professionals is getting higher and higher. With the advent of economic globalization and the information age, exchanges and cooperation in political, economic, cultural and technological fields between our country and other countries in the world have become increasingly frequent. For many college students with academic expertise and skills, no matter their post-graduate studies and their technical skills, they have considerable professional knowledge of English and the ability to communicate in professional fields in foreign languages. At present, due to the limitations of various conditions, the application pathways and conditions for undergraduates in professional English learning are limited. Most graduates can only use the basic English commonly used to learn the general daily communication, and professional knowledge of the industry is relatively weak. The employing units of English proficiency of graduates, especially in the field of professional English proficiency is expected to high, this traditional basis of English learning and industry demand out of touch students are required to strengthen subject-specific English learning.
