Nearly 10 to 15 years, calcium antagonists have been widely used in the treatment of variant angina pectoris, including a variety of ischemic heart disease. Preliminary studies have shown that it is effective in the treatment of variant angina pectoris. However, the vast majority of reports reported shorter durations of observation or no control. This is a long-term (9 months), double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial with weekly electrocardiographic monitoring to determine the long-term efficacy and safety of verapamil in variant angina.
