我省山多,气候好,适宜栽植猕猴桃。山区农民早就有利用房前屋后、园边隙地、山脚空地等零星栽植的经验。浦城县古楼公社社员张宝兰,宅傍种的猕猴桃已有八十多年的历史,单株产量高的可达200～300斤,屏南也有达500斤的。建宁、寿宁、浦城、福安、古田、周宁、柘荣、屏南、沙县、松溪等县都已开始在资源区发展山地栽植猕猴桃,把发展猕猴桃纳入果树生产计划。
