  Data Literacy is Important
  in Job Seeking
If you can make sense of big data then you are the next to bag jobs you have been looking for. This is the belief being expressed by the job industry insiders. They cite example of New York Times appointing a mathematician and other people who can make sense of big data and can draw patterns out of it are also being hired by different industries. Take journalism, for instance, which was considered as very interrogative and personal in nature but arrival of big data has changed the ways journalism is done today. We see fancy charts and interactive maps and graphics on different news items. And now experts are saying that big data literacy is going to be very important in near future to get jobs no matter which sector or industry you choose to work in. These predictions are not baseless as we have already started seeing usage of big data in almost all the fields of study and new meaning are being drawn from historical data records in the form of interactive maps and charts. Thousands of new, big and small, companies and firms have sprung up offering expertise in drawing meanings from big data which has opened new doors for young tech-savvy professionals to advance in their careers.
