高职高专公共英语是指高职高专教育(即普通高等专科教育、高等职业教育和成人高等专科教育)面向非英语专业学生开设的一门英语课程。作为长达180-200学时的公共必修基础课程,公共英语教学的实际教学效果却不尽如人意:很多学生在毕业后就放弃了英语,更无法谈及发挥英语语言优势来扩展自己的职业发展空间。针对这一问题,本文试图从公共英语教学实践中存在的一些问题中追本溯源,寻求解决方法。
Higher Vocational College Public English refers to an English course for non-English majors in higher vocational education (ie general college education, higher vocational education and adult college education). As a public compulsory foundation course lasting 180-200 hours, the actual teaching effect of public English teaching is not satisfactory: Many students give up English after graduation, but can not talk about developing English language advantages to expand their career development space. In response to this problem, this article attempts to trace the origin of some problems existing in the practice of public English teaching and seek solutions.
