《红楼梦》在德国的译介和研究已经走过了三个世纪,它的接受和传播状况跟德国汉学学科的建设情况可谓息息相关。国内外学界对《红楼梦》在德国传播情况的考察多半集中在弗兰茨·库恩译本的探究,对早期德译史关注不够。本文从不同角度考察了库恩之前的三篇译文,并指出关注《红楼梦》早期国外传播史的重要意义。
The translation and introduction of “Dream of Red Mansions” in Germany have come through three centuries. Its reception and dissemination status is closely related to the construction of German Sinology. At home and abroad, the investigation of the spread of “Dream of Red Mansions” in Germany mostly focuses on the study of Franz Kuhn’s translation, noting enough about the history of early German translation. This article examines Kuhn’s three previous translations from different angles and points out the importance of focusing on the early history of overseas communication in A Dream of Red Mansions.
