苏州市教师发展中心(苏州教师书院)成立于2012年9月,为苏州市教育局直属事业单位,开全国地级市之先河。主要承担省、市级校长和教师培训任务,重点开发信息化培训平台与数字化课程资源。中心地处苏州古城区核心路段,占地18200平方米,东连观前、西接石路、南临古胥门、北靠山塘河,地理位置优越,交通方便快捷。院内现存“怡老园”后楼,系明代文渊阁大学士王鏊致政归老之地,楼厅占地约670平方米,面阔五间,匾额为文徵明所
