The concept of competition in learning the world skills contest has a very positive meaning for China to host the World Series, conduct vocational skills competitions and vocational education and training. On October 13, 2017, all members of the World Skill Organization held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, unanimously decided that the 46th World Skills Competition in 2021 should be held in Shanghai, China. The 44th World Skills Competition took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 14 to 19 October 2017.
