The former Soviet Union / Russia had long recognized the inadequacies of the firepower of infantry weapons alone, the tackling of airborne troops and the ability to cope with emergencies. If the armored vehicles were given to the parachutists, even the light armored vehicles would have greatly deteriorated Change. The development of airborne equipment was briefly halted during World War II. In the early days after the war, the Soviet Union specially developed some armored combat vehicles for airborne troops in order to realize their vision. However, the main components of the real equipment were the ASU-57 and ASU-85 assault guns and the command car developed on both chassis types. These combat vehicles have been followed by the former Soviet Union airborne campaign in Africa, has made some record. However, after airborne airborne, the problems of limited maneuverability and assault capability are still outstanding. They urgently need an airborne assault combat weapon.
