骨料对于普通混凝土的力学性能和耐久性有重要影响,对于透水混凝土同样重要,但由于透水混凝土含有大量的连通孔隙使强度变得很低,透水混凝土与普通混凝土针对骨料级配的研究又大不相同。对不同胶凝材料用量和不同水胶比条件下,骨料的选取及连续性的选取不同而对透水混凝土工作性即透水系数、力学性能的影响有规律变化。因此,对于不同地区原材不同的情况下,对应不同胶凝材料用量和不同水胶比,对于透水混凝土而言研究各自的最佳骨料粒径及骨料级配值很重要。
