功能设计是在食品基本功能基础上附加特定功能,使其成为功能性食品。根据不同人群的营养需要,向食品中添加一种(或多种)营养素以及某些天然食物成分的食品添加剂,以提高食品营养价值的过程称为食品营养强化。
Functional design is based on the basic functions of food to add specific features, making it a functional food. According to the nutritional needs of different populations, adding one (or more) nutrients and some natural food ingredients to food additives to improve the nutritional value of food is called food fortification.
