Serum was collected from 11 cases of single infection of Schistosoma mansoni, 10 cases of single infection of schistosoma malariae and 37 cases of mixed infection of schistosoma mansoni and schistosoma japonicum. All patients were treated with metriphonate or hydroxyquramine. Twelve of 21 patients with single infection were followed up from January to April after treatment. IgG circulating immune complexes (IgG-CIC) were assayed with 2.5% PEG precipitation and ~ (125) iodine-labeled Protein A incubation; IgE-CIC with a slightly modified Meretey et al.
