在藏被那曲宁玛派寺庙阿贡寺采访的时候,我们碰见了一位特别的老人,他不是寺庙僧人,而是一位天葬师。他的出现,使我强烈地意识到“高尚”这两个字的含义。他的名字叫普尔古,是自愿从事天葬师职业的。天葬是流行于藏族地区的一种丧葬习俗。在藏族人看来,死亡不过是新生的开始,是生命轮回的一个阶段。对于生命而言,肉体是短暂的,灵魂却是永恒的。所以,当一个人死后,遗体如果能迅速消失,将有利于灵魂的转世,生命的新生也将重新开始。
When we were interviewed by the Agung Monastery in Nagquan, a monastery, we met a special old man who was not a monastic monk but a celestial clergyman. His appearance made me strongly aware of the meaning of the word “noble”. His name is Po’Gou, who volunteered to work as a celestial clergyman. Celestial burial is a funeral custom popular in Tibetan areas. For Tibetans, death is but the beginning of new life and a phase of life’s reincarnation. For life, the flesh is short, but the soul is eternal. So, when a person dies, if the remains disappear quickly, it will be beneficial to the reincarnation of the soul and the new life will be resumed.
