恶性疟原虫裂殖子表面蛋白4(MSP4)和5(MSP5)及其在鼠疟原虫中的同源蛋白4/5(MSP4/5)为膜内在蛋白,其基因含2个外显子和1个内含子,编码分子量约36 kDa—40 kDa的蛋白。在蛋白的两端为疏水的信号肽区和GPI样区,近C端有一个EGF样结构区,含3对链内二硫键。恶性疟原虫不同株的MSP4之间可能存在散在的点突变,而MSP5则显示出极高的相似性。这些蛋白的免疫原性依赖于二硫键维系的空间构像。
Plasmodium falciparum merozoite surface protein 4 (MSP4) and 5 (MSP5) and their homologous protein 4/5 (MSP4 / 5) in Plasmodium falciparum are membrane endoproteins whose genes contain two exons and 1 intron, encoding a protein with a molecular weight of about 36 kDa to 40 kDa. At both ends of the protein are hydrophobic signal peptide regions and GPI-like regions with an EGF-like structural region near the C-terminus containing three pairs of intrachain disulfide bonds. Sporadic point mutations may exist between MSP4 strains of different P. falciparum strains, while MSP5 shows a very high degree of similarity. The immunogenicity of these proteins relies on the spatial conformation maintained by disulfide bonds.
