毛主席说过:统一战线是中国共产党领导中国革命成功的三大法宝之一。1949年1月“北平和平起义”就是统一战线政策成功的辉煌范例。毛主席对傅作义能真诚地与共产党合作,给予很高评价,他说“为人民立了大功”。在第一届政协会议开幕式上,毛主席为傅作义的讲话鼓掌,并与他亲切拥抱。作为当年参加北平和平起义一员的我,从1949年2月起到跨入2000年的今天,50年来我一直幸运地以“起义人员”的身份享受着“绿灯待遇”。中共各级党委和政府严格遵守“既往不咎、继续工作”的承诺。即使在“十年浩劫”的年代里,我也首先被驻校贫下中农共产党员宣布解放,恢复了正常工作。
Chairman Mao said: The united front is one of the three magic weapons that the Chinese Communist Party has successfully led the Chinese revolution. The “Beiping Peace Uprising” in January 1949 was a brilliant example of the success of the united front policy. Chairman Mao’s sincerity in cooperation with the Communist Party Fu Zuoyi spoke highly of him. He said: “We have made great contributions to the people.” At the opening ceremony of the first CPPCC session, Chairman Mao applauded Fu Zuoyi’s speech and cordially embraced him. As a member of the peace uprising in Peiping, I had been fortunate enough to enjoy the “green light” for the past 50 years since February 1949 when I stepped into 2000. The CPC committees and governments at all levels strictly abide by the promise of “letting go and continuing to work”. Even during the “Decade of Holocaust”, I was first liberated and resumed normal work by members of the poor middle peasants stationed in schools.
