1990年,全国妇联、国家林业局共同倡导在全国城乡妇女中开展“三八绿色工程”活动。13年来,以帮助农村妇女依靠科技营林致富为重点,组织动员城乡妇女积极参与植树造林等多种形式的绿化美化活动,取得了比较显著的社会效益、经济效益和人才效益。据不完全统计,全国每年约有1.2亿城乡妇女参加义务植树、国家林业重点工程建设和小流域治理。活动中涌现出了一大批先进集体和个人……
In 1990, the All China Women’s Federation and the State Forestry Administration jointly initiated the “March 8 Green Project” among women in urban and rural areas across the country. In the past 13 years, the rural women have been encouraged to rely on science, technology and forestry to get rich. They have organized and mobilized urban and rural women to take an active part in afforestation and other forms of afforestation and beautification activities and achieved remarkable social, economic and personnel benefits. According to incomplete statistics, about 120 million urban and rural women participate in volunteer tree planting, national key forestry projects and small watershed governance each year.
