测绘战线上的工人同志们，和其他战线上的工人同志们一样，在党的亲切关怀和培养下，正以雄壮的步伐向测绘科学技术进军。他们当中已有不少人掌握了一定的技术，有些人还写出了书。可见，广大的测绘工人是测绘战线上的巨大生力军，是高速度开展我国测绘工作的重要力量。这里所发表的“我是怎样学会水准测量的”一文，就是测量工人李金堂同志亲身的体验。当然，这些体验不可能是全面的，但是透过这些文章，使我们高兴地看到新型的能文能武的工人阶级知识分子正在迅速成长中。
