Staphylococcal endophthalmitis is a rare disease that usually accompanies intraocular surgery and penetrating eyeballs and can also metastasize and spread from distant focal foci. Usually lesions develop rapidly, can cause serious eye damage, or even loss of eye, the diagnosis is not timely, inappropriate treatment and bacterial virulence can lead to poor prognosis. The infection of Staphylococcus aureus infection of Staphylococcus epidermidis symptoms should be serious. In patients with Staphylococcus aureus endophthalmitis, up to 66% of patients lose useful vision. Metastatic Staphylococcus aureus is even more common in both eyes. De Wolff Rouendal (1979) described a patient with staphylococcal septicemia complicated with bilateral endophthalmitis who was diagnosed with bilateral retinal central vein occlusion of septic retinitis at necropsy.
