The supply and demand of lead and zinc in 2001 and the price trend were analyzed. The supply and demand of lead and zinc in 2002 and the price trend were predicted. This paper argues that at least until the second half of 2002, zinc market fundamentals are less likely to improve, although the average price in 2002 is lower than in 2001 but will be lower than in the second half of 2001 it is good. The average spot price is about 92 0 USD / t, about 45% higher than that of 2001. The international lead market in 2002 is cautiously optimistic. The average spot price in 2002 is expected to reach US $ 500 / t, up 3% from 2001
