平津决战是解放战争时期三大历史性决战之一。该决战是在东起山海关,西至张家口,绵延500余公里的区域内进行的。就空间而言,可划分为东部、中部、西部三个局部战场。东部战场,战役以攻守天津为核心;中部战场,战役则围绕北平而展开;西部战场.战役是在平张铁路沿线进行。平张战役是发生在西部战场上的局部战役,该役主要由围攻张家口、切断平张线、力克新保安等一系列战斗所构成。
The decisive battle between Ping and Jin was one of the three historic battle wars during the liberation war. The decisive battle was carried out in the area from Shanhaiguan to the east and Zhangjiakou to the west, stretching over 500 kilometers. In terms of space, it can be divided into three partial battlefields in eastern, central and western regions. Eastern battlefield, the battle to attack and defend Tianjin as the core; the central battlefield, the battle started around Peiping; western battlefield. Battle is carried out along the Ping Zhang railway. The Battle of Pingtung was a partial battle that took place in the western battlefield. The battle mainly consisted of a series of battles such as siege of Zhangjiakou, cutting off of Pingtung Line and Lectra Security.
