在去年召开的第三届世界林木育种会议上,新西兰和美国的林业科研人员就建立辐射松种子园提出了新的设想,以克服现有种子园存在的一些缺点。当前种子园存在的主要问题有:(1)不同无性系开花不均匀,产种量相差悬殊;(2)从授粉到种子成熟期间,落果相当严重;(3)花期不一致,难以控制种子的遗传组成,以生产遗传品质特别好的杂种。此外,种子园以外的花粉不可避免要串入园内,也影响到种子的遗传品
At the Third World Forestry Breeding Conference last year, forestry researchers in New Zealand and the United States put forward new ideas for establishing the Pinus radiata seed orchard to overcome some of the shortcomings of the existing seed orchard.
