时值文学翻译巨匠、杰出的文艺批评家、特立独行的思想者傅雷先生逝世50周年。回顾他对20世纪中国现代文化的独特贡献,无论是译笔精妙、影响深远的《约翰·克利斯朵夫》,丹纳的《艺术哲学》,巴尔扎克的系列小说,还是对张爱玲的小说独具慧眼、切中肯綮的批评,抑或是对不媚时俗、潜心于寂寞之道的绘画大师黄宾虹的推崇与弘扬,还有历久弥新、几如艺术教育“圣经”的《傅雷家书》等等,令人高山仰止。“文革”中,这位文化巨人屡遭批判誓不低头,面对疯狂与屈辱以死抗争,含冤自杀,年仅58岁。在此,著名学者、中国社科院文学所研究员李兆忠先生,倾其数月心力,写就本文,解剖并还原一段历史公案,对于我们认识错综复杂、真伪交织的中国现代文化史不无裨益。
